Design-system debt, on purpose
Kitebank kept two button styles for a year. That was the right call. Here is why.
Kitebank had two button styles. The design system said there should be one. Shipping the unification would have delayed a lending flow that was making money.
We documented the debt, dated it, and put a kill date on the older style. The kill date moved once. That is allowed. Pretending there was no debt is not.
